Taylors Creek Elementary had a total of 761 students enrolled for 2024-25. Hispanic students represented 17% of the student population, making them the school’s third-largest student group.

Within the 12-school Liberty County School District, Bradwell Institute enrolled the most Hispanic students for 2024-25, with 298 students.
Over 1.7 million students attended Georgia’s public schools, based on the Georgia Department of Education’s Fiscal Year 2026-1 data. Enrollment was largest at the elementary level with 787,206 students (45.9%), followed by 388,733 middle school students (22.7%), and 539,092 high school students (31.4%).
Post-pandemic, Georgia schools continue to face challenges with chronic absenteeism, as 20.7% of students were absent for at least 10% of school days in 2024, according to the Georgia Department of Education. To address this, GaDOE initiated a statewide attendance campaign, which includes a real-time dashboard, public awareness efforts, and extra support for high-need districts.
In 2025, Georgia lawmakers approved changes to school attendance laws, prohibiting expulsions solely due to absenteeism. Additional reporting requirements were added, along with measures to support students earning diplomas through alternative options.
By 2026, Georgia maintained an average student-to-teacher ratio of nearly 14:1, improving on the national ratio of 15:1.
