Public engagement is a critical component of the civic process. The City Council of the City of Kingsland values the input it receives from members of the public during meetings and has made changes to the format of City Council meetings to make it easier for the public to comment. Due to current health precautions associated with COVID-19, the City of Kingsland is providing alternative ways for residents to participate in public meetings.
Public Participation for Virtual Meetings
Unable to attend a City Council meeting, but want to make your voice heard? Those who wish to participate or provide input during any public meeting will be able to do so utilizing the virtual Webex interface. Details on the WEbEx Interface, including meeting login information, can be found HERE.
Please log-on at least 30 minutes in advance of the scheduled meeting times to ensure access. There are only two opportunities for Public Speaking (Please see the Agenda).
- The first opportunity is during the "Public Hearing". During this time, the council will allow discussion on the agenda items presented during the hearing. You can raise your hand virtually or use chat and we will unmute your microphone to speak.
- The second opportunity is during "Granting Audience To The Public". During this time the Mayor will mute his microphone. You can then raise your hand virtually or use chat and we will unmute your microphone. For each opportunity, please state your first and last name, Kingsland address and your reason for speaking. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
