WHAT: Death Investigation WHEN: Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 5:23 pm WHERE: 200 block Winding Road, Kingsland GA
Kingsland, Camden County, GA- On Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 5:23 pm Kingsland Police Department Patrol Team Alpha (KPD), Kingsland Fire Rescue, and Camden County Fire Rescue responded to a possible deceased person in the 200 block of Winding Road. Responding units located a single deceased person at the residence.
Based on the totality of circumstances, KPD Criminal Investigations Division personnel responded to the incident. Chief of Police Evans further requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Camden office to process the location. The victim’s remains were sent to the GBI Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.
The victim’s next of kin has been notified. The victim’s name will not be released by KPD at this time due to the open investigation.
Chief Evans offers his condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
