Camden County Employees Recognized for Achievement and Years of Service

Camden County Employees were recognized for their years of service at a ceremony on Thursday December 15, 2022, that also included the announcement of two recipients of the Camden County Shining Star Award. Those honorees included 36 employees that reached a 5, 10, 15, 20, 35, or 40 years of service milestone in 2022. T

he Shining Star Award offers Camden County employees the opportunity to spotlight the great work accomplished by a co-worker, department, or team of colleagues. This award recognizes and illustrates excellence as a County value. All full and part-time staff, who have been employed at the County for at least one year, and are below the level of director, were eligible to be nominated individually or as a department or team. This year both an individual and a department were selected as the 2022 Shining Stars. Alex Harrelson of Facilities Maintenance and the Camden County Public Works Department were selected as the 2022 Shining Stars.

The 63 Employees recognized for reaching a service milestone in 2022 comprise 380 years of service to Camden County. Together, the awardees represent a wide cross-section of the duties and services performed for Camden County residents including: courts, general government, public safety, and public works. These employees represent the knowledge, dedication, and service of all Camden County employees, even though only those reaching a service milestone this year were recognized at this ceremony.“Camden County is fortunate to have dedicated employees serving our community,” said County Administrator Shawn M. Boatright. “I appreciate their efforts to keep Camden County moving forward.

Those recognized include:

  • 40 Years of Service—Robert Strickland
  • 35 Years of Service—Toni Bell
  • 20 Years of Service—Susan Carroll, Kevin Chiszar, Daniel Collins, and Chris Sears
  • 15 Years of Service—Felicia Buie, Stephen Cheek, Ann Dixon, Kimberly Horne, and Russell Prescott
  • 10 Years of Service—Barbara Harper, Jeanie Jenkins, Mandy Keller, Danny Sikes, and Amanda Watson
  • 5 Years of Service—John Archibald, Michael Blaquiere, Chantelle Brown, Cathy Browning, Lindberg Carter, Claire Feazel, Summer Garey, Ryan Haney, Eddie Jones, Shana Manning, Maxine Meredith, Heather Metty, Dustin Nesom, Austin Oglesby, Ashley Reed, Kitty Schroeder, Heather Sievers, Mike Spiers, Heather Trogdon, Tracy Webb, and Chuck White
Additionally, six employees received recognition for their commitment to protect Camden County’s virtual environment and intellectual property. Katie Bishop, Tammy Dukes, Deborah Felix, Amber Hardman, Darren Harper, and Shannon Nettles were awarded for reporting potential threats to the County’s email system.
