2022 Showcase Camden County Photo Contest Winners Announced

The Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 Showcase Camden County Photo Contest. This year, seventy entries from twenty-four applicants were submitted in the following categories: Landscapes, Nature/Wildlife, Sunrise/Sunset, and Transportation. Through a blind judging process a photograph was chosen from each category along with an overall winner. 

Recognized this year by category are: Landscapes: “The Right Light” by Chandler White; Nature/Wildlife: “Dragonfly” by Ashley Rice; Sunrise/Sunset: “Woodbine Waterfront Sunset” by Frances Lewis; and Transportation: “Georgia Coastal Railway Train” by Ashley Armstrong. The overall winner was Ashley Armstrong’s “Georgia Coastal Railway Train” in the Transportation category. All winners were formally honored at the Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. 

Judging the contest this year were, Amy Peeples-Human Resources, Miguel Thigpen-Public Safety Recruiting, and Cassie Turpin-Planning & Development. The winning photos will be on display at the Camden County Government Services Complex in Woodbine. The Board of Commissioners will use these photographs in various promotions and publications, while appropriate credit will be given to the photographers when used. 

 Information about the 2023 Showcase Camden County Photo Contest will be available in summer 2023.
