Board of Elections & Registration Encourages Participation in National Voter Registration Day

On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, the Camden County Board of Elections & Registration will join with thousands of other election officials across the country to take part in the 10th anniversary celebration of National Voter Registration Day, a nonpartisan civic holiday that aims to help all eligible voters participate in democracy.

“This is an excellent opportunity to engage with our prospective voters,” said Elections Supervisor Shannon Nettles. “Additionally, it is wonderful reminder for existing voters to check their registration status.”

Locally, the Camden County Board of Elections & Registration will assist with voter registration efforts at Camden County High School. Camden County residents may visit the Georgia My Voter Page to check their registration status or register to vote.

“Over the last decade, National Voter Registration Day has stood as a testament to the broad-based, bipartisan support for voter registration as the cornerstone of our shared democracy,” said Brian Miller, executive director of the collaborative National Voter Registration Day effort.

National Voter Registration Day is held each year in September. Since 2012, over 4.7 million voters have registered on the holiday. Visit NationalVoterRegistrationDay.org for more information.
