Frances Marie Kuntz Jump, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022. She was born in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Clark W. and Beulah Kuntz on October 3, 1951.
Marie is the wife of Sheriff Neal Jump. Marie and Neal met on a traffic stop in Liberty County in February of 1977 and were married just one week later on February 16, 1977. They became residents of Glynn County in 1979. The same year, they joined Christian Renewal Church, and have been active members ever since. For 45 years, they have lived the State Trooper life, and since 2008, have lived life with the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to Marie’s parents, she is preceded in death by her brother; Clark W. Kuntz II, and her grandson, Evan Neal Jump.
She is survived by her husband; Neal, her children; Robbie Wade Jump (Ginger), and Rebecca Jump Walden (James), who both call Brunswick, Georgia, their home. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Nealie Claire Jump, Evie Joy Jump, Braxton Wade Jump, Katelyn Marie Walden, Emma Grace Walden, and Colton Blake Walden, her sisters; Alice Hill (Don) of Greensville, South Carolina, and Cheryl Brinch (Jeffery) of Flower Mound, Texas, and several nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved adopted trooper family; Ward and Julie Holton of Valdosta, and their children, Anna Joy (Shane), Emily, and Wade Holton. She also leaves behind a special cousin, Joyce Alderman (Barty), who have walked each step of Marie’s Leukemia battle with us.
Marie’s courageous battle began on March 29th, 2022. Marie was given a week to live by doctors after discovering her diagnosis. Her unwavering strength allowed Marie to step into the Lord’s hands on June 29th, 2022.
Marie lived for her Lord, her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. They were her life. Marie spent 10 years with the Georgia State Patrol until her first grandchild was born, and spent the rest of her days as Nana to her grandchildren. Marie loved life to the fullest.
