Of the 4,853 people living in Folkston in 2020, 38.9 percent (1,888) were women and 61.1 percent (2,965) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Coastal GA News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 1,176. In the 65 and over age range, there were 319 females and 273 males.
