Hinesville Police Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.
We are excited to announce our 2022 Spring Citizens' Academy will begin on February 23, 2022, at 6 pm. For those who wish to attend, you will get a look at the day to day operations of the Hinesville Police Department and learn what your local law enforcement agency is all about. Classes will cover patrol operations, traffic investigations, criminal and narcotic investigations, response to resistance, and more. We will meet at the Hinesville Police Department Wednesday evenings from 6-8 during this 10 week course. Those who choose to participate will have the option of joining a patrol officer, on patrol, for a 4 hour ride along.
