The Brunswick girls basketball team improved to 3-0 with a pair of lopsided victories in late November/early December over Woodsville-Tompkins and Camden County.
On Nov. 30, Brunswick won its second game of the season, by demolishing the Woodsville-Tompkins Wolverines 73-30. It was a blowout from the beginning, with Brunswick taking a 23-5 lead into the second quarter highlighted by a 13-0 run to end the first frame. The dominance continued in the second quarter with the Pirates going up 45-12. By the time the fourth quarter hit, the game was just about out of reach with Brunswick up by 40 points and score of 62-22.
On Dec. 4, the Pirates toppled Camden County with another blowout score of 70-28. Brunswick started with a 5-0 lead, then went on to a 28-7 first quarter lead and built a 44-18 lead at the half. At the end of the third quarter the Pirates were up by 40 points for the second game in a row. They then cruised to victory.
Starting the season, the Pirates have outscored opponents 215 to 84.
The Pirates next host Glynn Academy (1-4) Friday night.
