Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
Leadership Glynn Class of 2021 Member Spotlight: Meet Syvillia Averett. Syvillia is Interim Chair of Mathematics and Data Science, Associate Professor of Mathematics with College of Coastal Georgia.
When asked, “What advice do you have for the next generation?”, Syvillia responded, “Create a vision and plan for yourself. You are the best person to chart your course. Just remember to allow for adjustments and revisions.”
When asked, “How do you generate great ideas in your organization?” Syvillia responded, “I try to listen to all stakeholders and gather their thoughts and perspectives on key issues related to the college. I love data and data drives effective decision-making. The more information I have, the more I am equipped to develop plans and strategies for addressing both short-term and long-term goals for my unit and institution.”
The Chamber of Commerce is excited about sharing with you more interesting and fun information about members of our 2021 Leadership Glynn Class.
