County of Liberty issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
Effective November 8, 2021, the Liberty County Board of Commissioners will temporarily suspend the mandatory masking and temperature check requirements for county buildings. Members of the public may continue to utilize masks in these facilities, if they so desire, but shall not be required to do so. Accordingly, all occupancy restraints will be lifted for usage of rental facilities. Offices will still maintain social distancing factors per CDC guidance.
This lifting of restrictions does not apply to any function where other measures may be in place for public protection as issued pursuant to Judge’s order such as judicial settings.
The Board encourages urges all persons to get and maintain all flu vaccines and associated boosters. They will continue to monitor conditions related to these and other health conditions and reserve the right to adjust operational conditions as the situation may warrant.
