College of Coastal Georgia issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
The University of Georgia (USG) is highlighting its commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct through its annual Ethics Awareness Week, scheduled this year from November 8-14. The purpose of this week is to remind the USG community of its commitment to an ethical culture, which is why the College of Coastal Georgia will host activities throughout the week to promote the shared core values of integrity, excellence, accountability, and respect. The theme for the week is “Celebrating our Ethical Culture.”
The USG mission demands integrity, good judgment and dedication to public service from all members of the USG Community. Promoting an ethical culture is very important to the success of not only the institutions, but employees, students and ultimately how Georgia is educated. Coastal Georgia will join the other 25 USG institutions in brining awareness to this important issue:

- USG Ethics Awareness Week speaker event, hosted by Chancellor Teresa MacCartney, featuring the Honorable Harold Melton, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia. His presentation is entitled “The Higher Calling of Public Service.”
