Returning from a bye, Pirates continue to roll

Brunswick, 8-0, 4-0 in 6A, Region 2, has scored 292 points this season, giving up only 85. 

Taking a week off after routing Richmond Hill 42-7 on Oct. 15, Brunswick overwhelmed winless Bradwell Institute (0-7) on Friday, 49-6.

So far this season, the Pirates have kept it on the ground to control the games, but behind the center, Brunswick is led by senior quarterback Jeffrey Waye and  junior QB Sutton Elis. Waye has completed 23 of 39 attempts for 502 yards and 5 TDs, and Ellis has completed 32 of 59 passes for 492 yards and 3 touchdowns.

On the ground, the Pirates, with 1726 yards on 258 carries, have handed it off to seniors Chuckobe Hill 80 times for 682 yards and 10 TDs, and senior Ree Simmons 78 times for 453 yards and 8 TDs.

Hill is tied as the top receiver with 11 catches for 243 yards and 2 TDs, and sophomore Terry Mitchell has also caught 11 for 282 yards and 3 TDs.
