Camden County - GA issued the following announcement on Oct. 13.
The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that it is a recipient of the two Honorable Mentions from the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) 2021 County Excellence Awards Program. Camden County’s Cybersecurity Education Program and Paved Roadway Inventory and Assessment received this recognition.
In the Fall 2021 issue of Georgia County Government, ACCG recognized nine programs from five counties as Honorable Mentions. The 2021 County Excellence Awards sought to recognize counties that have taken innovative and cost-effective programs that positively impact Georgia residents.
“It is an honor for Camden County to be recognized by ACCG for these programs,” said County Administrator Steve Howard. “It is important to share best practices with communities across our state.”
Camden County’s Cybersecurity Education Program includes important requirements for staff training and Emergency Management’s public education campaign surrounding Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The Paved Roadway Inventory and Assessment highlights the impact the inventory and assessment tool has on the actions and priorities of the Public Works Department.
