This project encompasses many of the policy issues under the jurisdiction of the Environment, Energy & Land Use Steering Committee making Howard’s experience particularly valuable to other counties across the United States.
“I am not aware of another County Administrator that has navigated a county economic development project through the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, the Georgia Coastal Management Program, as well as other state and federal agencies to receive a favorable Final Environmental Impact Statement,” said Gary Blount, Chairman of the Camden County Board of Commissioners. “Steve Howard will be an excellent resource for counties around the United States and we are pleased to be able to share his expertise with NACo and its members,” added Blount.
