County of Glynn issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
The Glynn County Police Department implements changes in Police Department operations to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The Glynn County Police Department will be CLOSED to non-employees both at 157 Carl Alexander Way and 1965 Demere Road (SSI Substation) in order to maintain an operational and healthy police force.
The following services are suspended effective immediately:
*VIN inspections
*Walk-in reports
*When possible officers will take reports via phone call for non-violent offenses and general damage to property calls
To file a report, call the Glynn-Brunswick 911 Center non-emergency line at (912)554-3645. An officer will then call you back. Please understand the officer will most likely call you from an unknown or private number, so you may need to ensure your cell phone accepts unknown or private numbers.
