Please DO NOT GIVE MONEY OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE

0Comments

Please DO NOT GIVE MONEY OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE. We are receiving many calls from people who have been scammed today by supposed law enforcement threatening to arrest people for missing jury duty unless they give them money over the phone by green dot, prepaid cards, or payment apps.

These scammers often have personal information about their victims.

These scammers often “spoof” valid phone numbers-even the Sheriff’s Office phone number.

They will tell you NOT to answer other calls and NOT to contact the courts or law enforcement. The best thing you can do is HANG UP!

If you are afraid please call us at 912-554-7600 or the court where you supposedly missed jury duty.

These people are threatening, they are persistent and they are ruthless. Please spread the word to your friends and family.
