COLLEGE OF COASTAL GEORGIA: Next Coastal Conversations on Leadership to Feature TopGolf Executive

College of Coastal Georgia issued the following announcement on Feb. 23. 

The College of Coastal Georgia’s next Coastal Conversations on Leadership will feature Global Chief Marketing Officer Geoff Cottrill of Topgolf Entertainment Group. The interview will take place on Thursday, March 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Southeast Georgia Conference Center. Community members are encouraged to attend and ask questions about Cottrill’s leadership experiences.

Coastal Conversations is an ongoing series from the College’s School of Business and Public Management featuring live interviews of business leaders who’ve had outstanding careers and are willing to share their experiences with the community. Cottrill is a very accomplished, award-winning leader with strong, creative thinking skills, and organizational development abilities. His areas of expertise include product development, brand management, advertising, media, music and entertainment marketing, and developing future leaders.

Cottrill joined Topgolf in 2021 as the Global Chief Marketing Officer. In his role, he leads all of Topgolf’s marketing, player experience design, partnerships, consumer insights, communications and charitable giving across all business units including global venues, Toptracer technology and Topgolf media. He is a talented marketer with a reputation in the industry for innovative thinking and creativity, with a passion for building diverse and talented teams. Prior to joining Topgolf, Cottrill was head of marketing at Coca-Cola in North America, where he led the strategic vision for all marketing channels and sports and entertainment properties for all Coca-Cola brands. Cottrill also held senior marketing leadership roles at Converse, Starbucks, Procter & Gamble, and the global advertising agency MullenLowe, where he was president. He is also a founding partner of Marvin Magazine & Media and sits on several advisory boards of emerging music and technology companies.

The interview will be moderated by Professor of Practice of Marketing and Communications Scott Williamson.
