The Camden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Camden County Planning Commission, District 2 and District 4 Appointments. The Camden County Planning Commission is comprised of five (5) members appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The Planning Commission is an advisory body that makes recommendations on land use applications. The recommendations from the Planning Commission ultimately go to the Camden County Board of Commissioners for final approval. The Planning Commission evaluates development projects and land policy proposals which serve to promote community, future land use trends, public health, general welfare, economic prosperity, and overall quality of life for Camden County residents.Qualifications for applicants include the following:

Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Preferably resides in District 2 or District 4 of Camden County, Georgia.

Ability to serve a four (4) year term.

Ability to attend monthly scheduled meetings held the last Wednesday of the month, at 6:00 p.m., in the conference room located in the County Annex Building at 107 N. Gross Road, in Kingsland.

Qualified Applicants should submit their intent to serve via the County website, www.camdencountyga.gov, featured on the homepage under Services, Online Forms, Citizen Board Application Form. If you have any questions you may call 912-576-5651.  Position shall remain open until filled.
