Reports from the Georgia Department of Education show that, in the 2024-25 school year, Jane Macon Middle School enrolled 278 African American students, marking a 1.1% increase over the prior year.

Out of the 16 schools in the Glynn County School District, Brunswick High School reported the largest African American student enrollment for 2024-25, totaling 771 students.
According to the Georgia Department of Education’s Fiscal Year 2026-1 report, more than 1.7 million students attended Georgia public schools. Elementary schools led with 787,206 students (45.9%), followed by middle schools at 388,733 (22.7%), and high schools at 539,092 (31.4%).
The Georgia Department of Education reports that chronic absenteeism persists in the state after the pandemic, affecting 20.7% of students who missed at least 10% of school days during 2024.
